Bio

Skeleton Cardboard or ‘Skel’ is an anonymous artist who is based in Hackney and works in a variety of media across different disciplines. art initially gained prominence on the streets of Shoreditch through cardboard cutouts and spray-painted skeletons. Renowned for his macabre skeleton figures, iconography, and symbolism, Skeleton Cardboard offers a poignant commentary on consumerism and modern urban living.

These macabre yet playful figures drawn in a naive yet sophisticated style remind us of our own morality and whimsical take on our existence. Skel uses iconography, abbreviations and symbolism juxtaposed with antidotes from the daily struggles and the mundanity of every day life. Skeleton Cardboard’s work has been shown in numerous galleries globally.
