Well Hung is an independent contemporary art gallery and in-house
picture-framing studio based on Hoxton Street.
bringing together established artists and emerging voices from across
the UK and beyond.With a particular focus on contemporary painting, our exhibitions span
figuration, abstraction and a wide range of approaches to material,
process and image-making.
The Gallery

We are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for artists and
introducing distinctive new work to a broad audience.
Alongside our regular exhibition programme, we organise artist
collaborations, new releases and the annual Well Hung Painting Prize,
a free national open call created to discover and support painters at
different stages of their careers.
Visitors are always welcome to explore the gallery during our opening
hours. Entry to our exhibitions is free and there is no need to book.
Bespoke Picture Framing
Designed and made in our in-house workshop
Our framing workshop is located within the gallery, where we design and
make bespoke frames for artworks, prints, photographs, textiles,
canvases, objects and other items requiring specialist presentation.
We work with artists, collectors, galleries, museums, interior
designers, businesses and private clients, as well as anyone looking
to have a single piece framed properly.
Every project is considered individually, taking into account the
artwork, its setting, your personal taste and the appropriate level of
protection.
There is no appointment necessary. Simply bring your artwork into the
gallery during our opening hours and our team can talk you through the
available options and prepare a quotation.
