Mark McClure

Bio

Mark McClure is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in London. Trained as a graphic designer, his practice operates across fine art and visual design, spanning printmaking, mural work and sculpture.

McClure’s work operates through systems. Drawing on the visual language of the built environment, including structures and spatial order, his compositions are architectural in nature, treating form as a framework: a set of rules that are established and then challenged. Through this process, visual logic and colour relationships are developed and explored.

Working with found materials, his assembled works carry traces of previous use, where layering and fragmentation reflect the evolving fabric of the city. Central to his practice is a balance between structure and disruption, as geometric systems are continually tested through material and process.

He has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, and has produced large-scale mural commissions across London and beyond.
