Monica Popham

Bio

Monica Popham (b. 1997) is a Gibraltarian landscape artist based in London whose work explores the interplay of light and architecture across Mediterranean spaces. In these pieces, the shadows are not incidental but the central subject.

In 2024, Popham won Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year which led to a commission for the London Science Museum, where her piece now forms part of their permanent collection.

Popham’s work has recently become part of the prestigious Soho House Art Collection (hanging in Barcelona) and is also part of the Gibraltar Government Art Collection, through her many successes from Gibraltar based art competitions. She has also more recently exhibited internationally in Philadelphia, Tangiers and multiple locations across the UK.
