Chris Wright has worked as a secondary art school teacher for over 25 years teaching up to A Level and returned to his practice of painting over the past two years. Wright has had success in being selected for open competitions and exhibited widely within the UK.
This caravan painting is part of a series of 100 that Wright started after being invited to create two for Art On A Postcard’s charity auction. The postcard size fitted within my themes of nostalgia and holiday memories but the paintings also reflect the harsh economic times we live in. These simple everyday scenes transform into contemplative moments that invite the viewer to reflect. Every caravan has its own story to tell and most people have a caravan story.
This piece is being exhibited in our Well Hung Painting Prize exhibition. We will dispatch all online orders after the exhibition closes on 22 August.
