Dani Bergson is an oil painter specialising in contemporary realism. She grew up in Pinner and studied at University of Central England, graduating with a Textile Degree in 1996.

Following university, Bergson worked as a textile designer for Osborne & Little. Since 2000, she worked as a freelance illustrator and artist, collaborating with greeting card publishers including Demontfort and Washington Green. She currently lives and works in London, where she maintains her studio practice.

Dani Bergson is an oil painter specialising in figurative work informed by a strong interest in classical realism reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Her practice bridges traditional figurative foundations with modern expressive approaches, resulting in dynamic and emotionally resonant compositions. “Whispers” explores the use of layered oil paint and gestural mark-making, allowing the human form to be both structural and suggestive, allowing the figure to surface and recede.

This piece is being exhibited in our  Well Hung Painting Prize exhibition. We will dispatch all online orders after the exhibition closes on 22 August.
