Bio

Katy Binks is a multidisciplinary artist and printmaker based in London. Her practice is informed by a fascination with colour, architecture and the material processes of printmaking, developed through studies in Graphic Arts at the University of East London and an MA in Printmaking at Camberwell College of Arts.

Working across silkscreen, mural and installation, Binks approaches abstraction through surface and process. Her work embraces variation, layering and the physicality of making, with systems developed through repetition and reworking rather than fixed structure. Colour plays a central role, operating not as decoration but as a structural element within each composition.

Binks was included in the Catlin Guide in 2013, recognising her as one of the UK’s most promising emerging artists. Alongside her studio practice, she continues to work across a range of contexts, bringing her distinctive visual language into both gallery and public settings.
