In Wok This Way, the narrow alleyway and dimly lit shop become a stage for resilience and
quiet dignity. The darkness is more than shadow, it speaks of the unseen hours, the hidden
effort that sustains so many of these small, family-run takeaways. Behind the window, there’s
warmth, labour, and legacy. The painting becomes a meditation on visibility: the overlooked
spaces that feed a city, the persistence of life lived just beyond the glare of attention.

This painting is being exhibited in ‘The Painted City‘ Exhibition and will be ready for collection or delivery after the exhibition ends on 20th December 2025
